Always enjoy this program and watched at 4.45am, must have been shown many times before as recorded in 2017 but i hadn't seen it. Not sure if this was really in the spirit of the show, usually someone's old pride and joy which had fallen into disrepair and has languished in an old delapidated garage for years as the fella/woman who owns it has had a really bad illness and can no longer do the car up. A lot of the time the owner hasn't been able to work for years, you know how it goes. This mornings show was about doing up an Aston Martin DB6 made in 1967, which the fella had bought cheaply, think they said 13k, some 20 years ago. Car was a right nail by the sound of it and he'd hardly driven it before it refused to go and had left it to deteriate in a very nice huge garage. They did say that he'd had some illness or problem which had affected his mobility but the chap appeared to still have a good job and was working away in i think said Stuttgard for 6 weeks, which was the time they had to do the car up. Just struck me that the fella had bought a cheap, duff AM which would cost a fortune to get roadworthy and had just left it, apparently these cars in very good condition go for between 1/4-1/2million now. Maybe it's just my working class roots i admit but the program didn't sit comfortably with me, the family still seemed to be very well off and he didn't seem that shocked or surprised at the great unveiling.
