I missed it, but when I returned she said to me do not watch Corrie on catch up, as it the most self centred, right on, pathetic 30 minutes of TV garbage there is to be viewed.

it was as though written by a 8 yr old, woeful. expect better from our premier soap.

Well past its sell by date. Who the hell is writing the story lines? Plus, the black family are all pathetic actors.

I agree. I just thought the whole episode was all a bit strange. The reaction of the abuser when confronted was very poorly scripted. |

The show exists to re-educate us old uns about minorities, and like Radios 4+5 has become patronising bilge.

Just been reading another thread about quality old TV and film what makes good watching is the script and the actors.
The soap opera of today are just filler in fairness to them they go out far too often once a week with a better script quality over quantity. Also we live in the age over politicisation its everywhere from MSN to the adverts between the programmes |

Tbf, they did soften the whitey guilt trip on Corrie by making the race victim a homophobe. Not very subtle, but the public must be educated.

There is nothing worse than box ticking. People should be successful on merit, not gender or the colour of their skin. It is obvious when characters are just parachuted in. The Baileys have been an absolute joke ever since they appeared. You will have to go a long way to see worse acting. In fact last night was one of the old man's better scenes. In the previous episode at one point it seemed like he was actually morphing into Dev.
