Wait for a couple of weeks enough time for everyone to come back out and all the commuters to come back from miles around. The zero cases and talk of herd immunity achieved whilst a relative lock down has been in place can't be accurate. When everyone has come back, if the numbers are still very low then we can be hopeful.

By:
1st time you got those figures about the type 1/type 2 diabetes split yet?
|
|
By:
in the same period mon 18th,there were only 79 recorded cases in whole of uk ,because of the same glitch in testing lab, swabs, etc, expect increased numbers in following days to take this in to account
|
|
By:
nah cant find them ,they were either in mail online or guardian on line, read it this morning

The hard bit is going to be getting the UK worker back to work because (although one shouldn't generalise) s/he's a lazy c**t.

So far during the pandemic, 7,466 people who died in hospital in England had type 2 diabetes and 365 had type 1. |

So to summarise, during the winter of 2019/20 there was a new strain of flu that killed mainly old people and those with other underlying health conditions that mainly affected their respiratory systems.
And in other news, the economies of the world were sacrificed on the whim of a few scientists who were desperate for more funding. Did I miss anything? |
|
By:
We wont see a rise because the flu season has passed
Unless the flu stays in the system for weeks after and you get a positive test come back, then that would explain the "asymptomatic" Its the flu hence the sudden drop off, may 21st is the final day of the flu season and then a new season starts with much lower numbers until November obviously "glitch" that old fecking chestnut You had all your money stolen in a glitch, here's it back so we put you into the system as a debt |
|
By:
or you could say more excess deaths than were killed in 2nd world war, which we still honour 75 years later

Govt paying people to sit on the beach eating and drinking
What a time to be alive ![]() |

Privately owned companies have killed off most of the excess deaths
Nothing to do with the govt |

People have been watching too many reruns of Cocoon where old people go into care homes and live forever

By:
the times excess death figures
|
|
By:
1st time. I thought the story awkwardly written. You were correct that in terms of risk it is worse to have type 1 than type 2 but because there are so many more with type 2 thats where the vast majority of the deaths came from.
|
|
By:
yeh we sussed that last week when obese wasn't mentioned in underlying symptons,we thought most of obese people were put in diabetes type 2 bracket, itv said 32% of dead had either type 1 or 2,majority with type 2
|

Just shows its best to read the full story and not just the headline. If I may quote a rather wise poster on this thread
"ffs do any of you lot read the full data/story" Wise words im sure you agree 1st time. |
|
By:

|
By:
May 21st is the end of the flu season, its pretty much the start of summer
They end it after the 21st and all new cases/deaths go into the next season Tomorrow is the last day of any type of data giving, but they are carrying this on for a bit longer You've been bamboozled ![]() |
