How do you reconcile right wing lunacy with the government paying everyone's wages?

Bang on YHTL,

It is sad, bleak outlook for school leavers, homes lost and a poorer standard of living for most, gonna be a worldwide phenomenon. Some countries will do better than others but the mid term looks knackered.

With so many jobs being reliant on folk parting with their wages
there is a huge requirement to get folk safely out and about.

Prior to corona 1% of UK work force were taxi drivers.

I find that an incredible stat.

Pubs, restaurants, cafes, shops, cinemas, theatres are all major employers and I just
don't see a quick fix.

When we can get back to watching football we might get back
on track, but there will be a lot of jobs gone that might
never return.

Remove all non uk passport holders and you free up 3.6m jobs.

Overly simplistic perhaps but a policy for discussion.

Indeed Injera, if the headset of picking fruit, working in hospitality, care homes, factories etc can be changed, you might be on to something.

Capitalism has failed.

Is that world capitalism or just the UK,  and to suit your relentless whingeing agenda?

Some increasingly pathetic sacks on here.

Capitalism failed once before and FDR came along
fixed it with his new deal pumping in cash.

Thatcher Reagan et al came along and the money has all been taken out
again and salted away.

Brown and Co  reflated a bit, but now it's all gone again.

Sunak needs to turn on the cash tap, but that's not the failed capitalist way.
