I love courtroom dramas & one that I remember watching on TV on a Sunday afternoon from when I was a lad (& that's a long, long time ago) woman had a pan of boiling water thrown over her scarring her & a man was being tried for something. Lawyer gets a call midway through trial & it's the woman giving him an alibi.....etc. Can't remember the name of the film though but I really enjoyed it - 40's film?

That's okay Lee Ho, all nostalgia is good, and these days I don't need to drink any alcohol at all to get the wrong drift of conversations! Grin

But the subject title I gave is slightly unfortunate and does suggest forgotten film titles (I couldn't get the full thing to fit! :)  But that topic may be more interesting anyway...

A work colleague told me of a movie (western, he believes) in which treasure, or loot of some kind, sinks into a swamp or quick sand near the end of the film, beyond any reach. That was years ago and we have never figured out what the film title was. I hope it wasn't a dream he had and we've been wasting all efforts to find it, lol.

That 40's one does not ring any bells Lee Ho, but maybe someone else recognises it. Possibly the advanced search on IMDB may help (not that it helped with that western  - if indeed it exists!)

Thanks Lee Ho, I'll check that one out, that's one of Tarantino's films I'm yet to see. I know a lot of people rate it highly so I must catch it one day.
Been a bit of a soundtrack collector, off and on, over the years, so always keen to check out suggestions. But it's funny how some soundtracks can hit you right away, and others can pass over you until you 'discover' them years later. I saw The Negotiator on it's release, but it wasn't until I'd watched it a couple of times on tv that it struck me how good the opening theme was.
