When are you going to come out of sheltering IT?
Goverment advice? Do you trust them? Your own instinct? |
|
By:
It will be difficult but the facts are that it is very contagious and at least five times deadlier than flu.

If people lock them selves away that means there are more opportunities for us free minded people to take advantage of the situation and make some money.

I've been told the attitudes in supermarkets are tense and unsocial which seems like a further negative shift towards more contempt for eachother agree there will be difficulties.

I'm developing a mask which shows what mood you are in so that other people can read how are you are feeling !

In supermarkets people can't read how you are feeling if they have mask. ....... so assume they are a psycho with a knife

Government got a job on its hands. There was a woman on QT who nails it basically. How can we trust this govt to be giving us the right advice when all it's done is alter the narrative to suit its own ends? They clearly wanted to lift it, made a concerted leak to the press on wednesday to get the public ready but the feedback was clearly not now, thanks.
Fact is we can all see the graphs and charts. We can see the cautious approach from respected leaders such as Merkel with her background in science and we can see how other countries are waiting to get the virus properly under control so that when it does spike again (and it always does) it's from a low base and can be controlled. No one trusts this goverment to make sound, eviedence based decisions right now and they need to do a lot of work to regain our trust. |

Maybe they don't want the sheep to ever feel safe again ?
Maybe that was the point? keeping all of them under surveillance and under tight chain and ball Each country as done this how they want to move forward, the Italians and Spanish did tight lock downs so as to normalise that method for their citizens, we went down the social distancing light lockdown route to be able to implement track and trace software on its citizens and put them under constant surveillance 24/7 and keep them under a very tight leash The Americans I have no idea, they can't control their citizens with the amount of guns they've got so its a bit of a messy reopen whilst keeping it shut for as long as possible |

Your own instinct? ^ Me personally would go out tomorrow. People fit and healthy people under 45 see to have limited trouble compared to other risks. Wife is extreme high risk and as I am sheltering with her probably for some time. Will assess as it goes. |

One of the reasons the media in the US have packed in reporting death figures in America is because the public just ain't buying it and are now storming governors offices
![]() CNN and MSNBC more interested in jobless figures and Flynn past few days |

News of a 6 week old baby catching corona won't help bring folk out until its safe to do so
|
|
By:
i fear that the 1951 experiment the boffins advised the government to implement; has worked it's poison too far into the GBPs psyche
|
|
By:
The 6 week old had an underlying condition. This hasn’t been explained nor has it been said whether the poor mite died specifically from covid.
|
|
By:
NHS England said a further 332 people have died in English hospital after testing positive for Covid-19. It brings England’s coronavirus death toll in hospitals to 22,764.
The youngest victim was a six-week-old baby with underlying health problems, NHS England said. The oldest victim was 103. Some 22 of the 332 patients, aged between 40 and 96 years old, had no known underlying health condition. ^ Taking into account underlying conditions and age very few younger healthy people died from Covid. |
|
By:
If only the population was 100% young and without underlying conditions
|
|
By:
If only the population could get paid for doing nowt indefinitely
|
|
By:
22 with no underlying health conditions but yet most of them were in hospital for something other than "covid 19" and tested positive WHILST IN hospital
The 6 month old baby most likely was born with no lungs ffs, that's the level of insanity we are witnessing |

organise huge demonstrations.
You have all the tools at your disposal to reach large amounts of people through facebook, twitter, telegram, generally social media. If someone is convinced the government is doing a historical mistake that threatens the existence of the UK, actually organising and actively taking part a bit of civil disobedience goes a long, long, long way further than starting threads in all caps on the chit chat section of a gambling forum that is frequented by ever the same 10-20 regulars during a time where there's very little gambling going on. Reach and get tens of thousands to join you through proper social media. |
|
By:
To be fair the forum is equally busy when betting is in full swing
Some folk clearly do bet, some do not. |

but please wear mouth guards
