Talking of the BBC i was astounded this morning when they announced manager of the season  award and named Emma Hayes as woman manager of the year BEFORE announcing Klopp as Premier manager of the year.You can see where their priorities lie.

There are more people who attend the Notting Hill carnival live in the streets

than there are who at any one time are attending the Olympics

Normally go away for the Carnival Weekend like many residents. Last year stayed for the Saturday morning just to have a look round before the crowds and it was rather pleasant without the people. The drive back to the country was as memorable as it gets. Flintoff at Headingley!

Time to move it to Hyde Park.....must be hell for locals who stay.

This must be the single wonderful thing that Coronavirus has done for the world, and about time too.

This annual Carnival of Rampant Crime has no place in any supposed decent society.

Along with Ed Davey hilariously and tragically fasting for Ramadan (plus those lower down then Liberal Party food chain) this must be the Happiest News Story of 2020 to date.

There are so many Police there that you feel totally safe.

....except for racists who must feel totally out-numbered.

Yes Hundreds of Police parked up on  the Westway , scanning the peaceful and Joyous occasion

Swat  Teams tooled up in Riot gear , plotted up  around the Outskirts ,  waiting For the Evenings close

and the exciting after events ..Its all the fun of the Fair ............

Ends at 8pm so all gone by 9pm....no trouble at all.

2019's "no trouble at all" equated to a trifling 353 arrests, that's for offences the police could actually be bothered pursuing. They tend not to worry about the widespread urinating and defecating in the streets.

2017's "no trouble at all"  figures were smaller only because the police had acted sensibly in advance of the Crime Carnival. Allah alone knows how many more violent offences might otherwise have occurred during the weekend.

I think seeing blue skies and breathing in fresh air was quite nice. Seeing the waters clear in Venice was wonderful and cities around the Workd being clear if smog was pretty wonderful too.

Agree Alun, cancelling the crime carnival has saved lives and millions of taxpayers money, it should have been banned years ago. lets hope its the new Norm
