Coronavirus: UK warned to avoid climate change crisis
The UK must avoid lurching from the coronavirus crisis into a deeper climate crisis, the government’s advisers have warned.
They recommend that ministers ensure funds earmarked for a post-Covid-19 economic recovery go to firms that will reduce carbon emissions.
They say the public should work from home if possible; and to walk or cycle.
And investment should prioritise broadband over road-building, the Committee on Climate Change (CCC) says.
People should also be encouraged to save emissions by continuing to consult GPs online.
The government will reply later, although the Energy Secretary Alok Sharma has already spoken in favour of a green recovery to the recession.

Covid has changed us. Now time to use climate change to hammer home the fear factor to maintain the changes.
The 'computer models' tell us there is doomsday to mankind on its way on its way due to 'man made climate change'. We must act now to stop it.
These are the same type of garbage in garbage out models used for Covid-19. The creator of that has been side lined and the agenda moves on.
So moving on from Covid we must have real changes to the way society works:
1. Stay at home mainly to work, see your doctor etc so we can track it.
2. Do not go to clubs and pubs and interact with others in a non digital way so we cannot track what you think.
3. If you do go out your 'immunity passport' to get it so we know where you are.
4. Do not use cash. It unsafe. Use digital currencies so you can be tracked and taxed.
5. Do not travel. We have culled airlines so only the rich can fly. Fuel prices and taxes to go up for the good of the envirnoment. Connect friends and family online. Travel through a vurtal headset.
6. Do not work in a factory in the west. They are polluters. Stay home and work digitally.
Masses of unemployed people reliant on the state will comply to get some income from the state.
Those are the rules to break the west into full tracking and control.
China is already broken so climate change rules not needed there.
