In my town of approx 50,000 population there are seven barber shops in one small street.The rest of the town has probably another ten.....how are they making it pay.Smallish town years ago would have about three?????

Isn't Gordon Brown responsible for all the hairdressers? Tax credit top-ups as long as you don't officially work more than 16 hours a week. Cash-in-hand for anything more.

Barbers must be the ideal occupation to take advantage of the system. And nail bars.
