as a lifelong tory supporter I have to say this as been a complete shambles.

If Corbyn or Starmer presided over 32,000 deaths then people devoted to party politicing for the Tory party would be presenting things that went wrong here as the unique result of their incompetence (even though the same issues happened to many other counties) and be blaming Labour for tens of thousands of deaths.

People not obsessed with Labour/Tory would take a more nuanced view though.
