Must admit I had to check it wasn't April 1st.
In no sense of any definition should any television presenter ever be considered essential. They can just be replaced by someone else, which is what has happened.

One of the most loathed journalists and presenters ever in the UK; smug and conceited. He was extremely lucky not to be "directly" implicated in the "pump-and-dump" share dealing at the Daily Mirror where 2 (I believe) of his City Diary staff were jailed for their part despite benefiting £k from it.

I never watch him, but my (probaly unfair) opinion of him was formed long ago when he used to visit extremely wealthy people so that they could show off their extreme wealth. He came over as extremely obsequious.

He's controlled opposition used for hatchet jobs and attacks where they see fit,if he attacks someone or something the viewer is against he'll be seen as great and vice versa.

I am quite enjoying finding out who's collars and cuffs don't match and which of the presenters think social distancing doesn't apply to their make up artist and hair colourer's see the bird on Sky. Her hair is the same colour and she has to be late 50's Kay Burley I think!
