Coming up with every excuse possible to prevent more drivers going back to work. Reckons running a train every 4 minutes is going to attract more passengers Cry. Definitely from the Khan school of illogical and self serving thinking. Offers zero suggestions just objections. Most people are showing a can do attitude buddy, unfortunately this was an inevitable progression of certain people being paid not to work.

35 dead bus drivers showed a can do attitude

600 mp,s at home on video link supping gin and tonics, rather than use tube and sit next to each other in commons,

as an example lets have 660 mp,s every morning every night using the tube ,at next to each other in commons, and public may follow them

people prefer their heralth and safety from those who no whsat their doing not those who,s leader nearly died and infected lots of his foot soldiers

that aside 4 months ago the government was goping to take a bonfire to red tape ,health n safety, curb unions etc.etc .do you really expect them and their members to put their lives on offer ,because sed government clicks its fingers,DONT WORK LIKE THAT, public sector workers unions holding all the cards, remember your out clapping them every thurs night, hero,s one and all

Bus drivers are in a very risky category, being quite old, not white, likely unhealthy and male. Being a bus driver doesn't make someone immune from the virus.

You may well note I was referring to tube train drivers who are in an isolated cab. You may well also have noticed 1000s of key workers already working who are on close to minimum wage, for example keeping the country fed who are at much higher risk of catching the virus at work. MPs can work remotely, tube trsin drivers cannot, obviously.

tory,s learn another lesson don't wage a war on public sector unions when there,s a pandemic just around the corner,or the next crisis

The majority of London Underground train drivers, approximately 3,000 of them, made £70,000-£80,000 last year when overtime and benefits is included. In a statement, TfL said

Eton, Harrow,Winchester,Charterhouse ETC leading the way hopefully on the schools front, lets see.

What I think is disgusting is that they sent young girls to die while caring for the elderly. I find that really shocking that their health and safety was not considered by the Government. The Union is protecting its members. That is what a Union can do unlike the poor girls and women workers in the care homes.

It is also a warning for us all that we need to unite to fight the powers that be.

On the other hand I can understand where cider is coming from. He has been taking one helluva beating because his Tory Boys have let him down and showed us all just how useless they are. He needs to lay some leather and what better way than to bash the Unions. Easy target for divide and rule.

btw I think Drivers certainly need to get back to work and all workers be provided with any necessary PPE by law!

Good! Unions are good for people!

Now how many Chairmen of FTSE Companies are being paid millions while their workers are being furloughed?
Report Cider May 4, 2020 4:23 PM BST
Just respond to the point in hand, if you wish to respond. Primarily, the RMT logic that more frequent trains is riskier for passengers.
Report Cider May 4, 2020 4:25 PM BST
For sure, PPE needs to be supplied appropriately, for London tubes that responsibility lays with TfL / Khan.
Report Whisperingdeath May 4, 2020 4:28 PM BST
listen,

The real dumfukkery has come from the Government the posh boys educated at Harrow, Eton and Winchester. All fine schools the best money can by.

Whatever the Union leader said there is a huge risk on a mass transit system of spreading / contracting the virus. So what is THE SCIENCE behind getting the underground back and running safely for staff and passengers? It is not for the Union to provide the solutions is it?
Report Cider May 4, 2020 4:30 PM BST
The tube trains are running now. So nothing will change, just more trains as far as tube drivers are concerned. I'm assuming that RMT feels the measures in place are currently adequate.

Well we don't have that luxury, unless you're suggesting that nobody leaves their house.

And we all starve to death.

Report 1st time poster May 4, 2020 4:41 PM BST
starving ,been skint for 10 yrs plus was a price worth paying for bringing back control 4 months ago LaughLaughLaugh,

Report Whisperingdeath May 4, 2020 4:41 PM BST
I am all for getting people back to work.

The Government are stupid. Garden Centres should have been allowed to open. Construction, Road, Rail and Utilities should have be back to work already. Anybody who works outside should be back at work. That is the starting point.
Report 1st time poster May 4, 2020 4:45 PM BST
you havnt been worried about millions using food banks due to tory choices not due to a world crisis
its ok been skint, unemployedusing food banks in pursuit of a tory right wing nut job experiment ,but worried sick about it been forced upon us by a world crisis

wtf are you going on about food banks. People touching a six figure salary should obviously not be falling back on a food bank.
Report 1st time poster May 4, 2020 4:51 PM BST
you mentioned people starving
Report Cider May 4, 2020 4:54 PM BST
yes they will do if everyone needs a test to see if they've had covid 19 before going past their front door. It demonstrates the ridiculousness of the argument. In as crisis, key workers need to do the second part of the phrase.
