All to do with measure points, some days it will be higher, thus some days it must be lower.

Each day, if you add up the four home nations figures, it doesn't tally with the UK figure.

the only way you can explain that to me is if no person died anywhere in uk outside of an English hospital in last 24 hrs and 12 people have been brought back to life since 2,16

The government announced that prisoners would be released early and proceeded to release some of them, only to halt the process when they released that they had released some of the wrong prisoners. This is not disputed.

Agree that prisoners are the last thing on people's minds at the moment. Although it is an issue that has to be addressed, hardly a priority for most normal people.

Why should a prisoner done for a minor crime get a death sentence as Covid rips through the prison system ?
she wasn't asking why the wrong prisoners were released (a fair question if true) but she was angling for more prisoners to be released. Since they can now test at will and prison population is down overall, it's no longer pressing for them to be released early.
they shouldn't, obviously. but the death sentence on too many NHS staff is far more important, imo.
it's just more virtue signalling, which seems to infected so many so called journalists rather than any corona virus

That young girl asking about the prisoner releases was clearly angling for the gates to be opened ;who assesses the suitability of some of these daft questions.
They are not solicited at all apparently, the talk radio girl said she got told an hour before, who was doing the briefing and where she was on the list for the day.

Not sure why they is "no need" for them to be realeased,they are within 2 months of getting out,1,800 possible cases and 19 deaths to 28th Apl would say otherwise.

As prisoners should see out their sentence if at all possible. The reason for considering it in this instance has dissipated.

I'd prefer she'd ask a question that was in the public interest than scoring brownie point with her twatter chums. It's a free world, she was entitled to ask the question just as I'm entitled to be critical of it.
It is in the public interest,the Tory goverment said they are releasing 4,000 prisoners on humane grounds in the midst of a pandemic,they released 33.

Perhaps she believes that it was in the public interest.
That her view doesn't coincide with yours does not necessarily make her wrong and you right or vice versa.
It simply confirms that people see the world differently.
Perhaps the government were engaged in "virtue signalling" when they made the original announcement, what about that as a possibility ?

You should be grateful to some of these journalists, they were very vocal in their support of the banning of fox hunting.
The problem is that since these briefings started the press on the whole have been asking questions which are tricky in as much there's no precise answer and many of the questions have been framed to try to paint the Government in a bad light when they are obviously trying to do their best in horrendous circumstances.The focus at the moment is to imply that the Government made a mistake in setting up the Nightingale hospitals and over ordering ventilators.

the bloke was right, phillips offered an opinion about 6 weeks ago that there was very few deaths in the Asian/muslim cumminityy because of their relentless hand washing[wont go into details ] now he,s chairing an enquiry into excess deaths in BAME,doesnt bother me but some might think he kept his mouth shut for been wrong ,rather than leading an equiry into why he was wrong
Philips live on tv before he got the job already doubted the vitamin d,, low skilled essential jobs frontline argument,even though a week later been poor from a poor area is seen as a major reason,so he and his team jave already been completely wrong twice, so cant blame people from BAME community not to have a lot of confidence in him

You may have a perception that they were angry, other perceptions do exist.
The banning of fox hunting (pest control ) really started the terrorist organisation RSPCA's anti horse racing campaign which has been run by terrorists like Jane Tredgett and Bob Bayliss.

I live in the country and a pursuit for me is going for a nice walk . I see the odd fox , sometimes deer , ocasional badger and once a wild boar .

Lived in London for over 50 years . In the last 5 of them I would struggle not to see a fox . They would even come and sit outside my front window .

The point is eyeball that a lot of people living in the country enjoyed the hunting tradition and it was an effective method of pest control. Whilst I don't hunt myself I very much enjoyed seeing them on the roads with the pack and in the fields at full cry.

A lot of people enjoyed ducking women or bating bears but I think that was misconstrued and barbaric . I rarely see a fox but loads of rabbits .

If your not happy here we are a free country you can a live somewhere you will feel safer.
