Coronation St-Friday, How was this shown at 7.30pm?

Thought this episode was particularly scary and violent to be shown at that time, must have been many young children watching this.  Any child unfortunate enough to be living in a violent household during the lockdown must have been really worried something like this could happen in their home. Thought there was supposed to be a 9.00/9.30 watershed for programmes featuring this level of violence.
