Not even Hancock and Newton believe it, but doesn't stop them from claiming that it actually happened.
I wonder if they have a bonus linked to it ![]() |

And then they try and tell us that the absolute number doesn't matter, it's the increase in capacity and "the direction of travel" that matters.
Yeah, the absolute number matters so little that you fudged it to allow you to stand on a podium and proudly announce to the nation that you've achieved a target that doesn't matter. And then you'll shake your head in disbelief when you are told that the public doesn't trust politicians ![]() |

By:
Do you believe it , Angoose ?
|
|
By:
Do I believe that 122,347 tests were performed between 9am 30 April and 9am May 1 ?
No, I do not. |
|
By:
And yet you believe all the other numbers they've been spouting from their podium
![]() |
|
By:
Nor do I believe the 100,000 bit either

The left are upset that in there agenda to make a virus political they decided the 100k number was their main attack, when the resulting numbers were not what they wanted to hear they decided to move the goal posts or question how the numbers were made.

And you, in your stoic defence of a Health Minister with zero personal integrity, are prepared to accept any old rubbish served up to you
![]() |
|
By:
And you started a fred a day before the numbers come out to try and deflect the results. Just like the op,the results dont suit his agenda so he cries like a baby and calls it all lies.
I dont defend health ministers, whatever that is. I just dislike libtards and their lies. |

By:
And then they try and tell us that the absolute number doesn't matter, it's the increase in capacity and "the direction of travel" that matters.
Actually that is all that matters really. If they are up to 75,000 a day most people would be happy with the progress, but ministers made a big deal of the 100,000 on Apr 30th and so painted themselves into a corner. |
|
By:
More forced into a corner by the media & covid political party members.
|
|
By:
if they say capacity today for example is 140,000 does that include the 40,000 that they havnt got results for,if results take 2/3 days ,that's 120,000 backed up
although I do believe another so called super lab is coming on stream on next week, which could take up the slack |

By:
The only person who "forced" Hancock to come up with the 100k number by the end of April was Hancock.

weve reached a new low when the uk PM,CABINET and the best scientific brains the uk have, think it up for debate that
a, a test is a test when its processed b,2 gloves ,known as a pair to a 4 yr old ,constitutes 1 piece of PPE and cummings and his cohorts consider themselves super brains, never got mentioned at the time for people laughing but I summise we must assume, blue cover shoes, boots, spats, wellingtons were all considered one piece of ppe, these must be the people who,ve been stealing all the right footed shoes from outside shoe shops over the years, ![]() ![]() |

considered 2 pieces, they,ve got me at it now

They come in boxes of 100, i know i use them every day. Are you really expecting them to divide each box by 2 ?
A pair of glasses is counted as 1, i believe your post only confirms one thing. |

By:
this is what gove, cummings and co love playing political games argue black is white depending on how you look at it
|

By:
Don't forget the 50,000 "new" nurses that includes 18,500 that are already in place

So the government have been overcharged all this time, they ordered boxes of 100 when it was actually should had been 50.
Pretty sure most people have 2 hands. ![]() |

we,re now been lined up for the latest government wheeze
after spending 8 weeks been told we,re following scientific advice and 2m social distancing is our number one weapon to fight the virus ,anmd face masks are of no benefit to get transport back up and running we,re going to be told by same scientists 1m is enough now and facemasks should be worn the scientist on sky has been saying foir weeks the 2m guidance will be changed but not to 1m, but to 6 or 8 m, his words were its going only one way UP watched itv news last night about facenmasks catching coughs and papers today asking people to take their temps at home before using public transport, if you've got a cough or temp we were told 10 weeks ago to stay at home, their just encouraging people to break the 2 pieces of guidance they said were best to beat the virus, we,re back to herd immunity, not saying that's wrong but scientists ,doris, cabinet told us it was wrong |

Does anyone know what they are testing for and how reliable the tests are?

By:
Not interested if its Tory or Labour
Fact is they expect you to believe it so what else are they getting away with ? My guess is there are over 40,000 deaths once someone learns how to get into nursing homes and count the deaths. Why would any nursing home want anyone to know it was a Covid 19 cluster ? |
|
By:
They probably did
Throw in home testing kits....margin for error...bit of double counting and they'll be close. The point is - strategically, with a view to what? How does this play into the over-arching treatment / eradication of the virus. And on another note, even if they'd (marginally) missed the target, it seems to have concentrated minds and shoved a rocket up the backside of government agencies responsible for this aspect of the lockdown programme. |
|
By:
tues hancock was all over care homes, were top priority and just as pop ups etc were working out how to get testing into carehomes ,hancock as positive tests have shown threw another 35 million hats in to the ring most of which could have waited till this week, and got care homes sorted 1st,but then he would have missed his target ,so his target not a government target took priority over deaths in social care, shocking really
|
|
By:
Call me a cynic, but what is the probability that the 40,000 dispatched test kits which were counted as tests 'done' will be recounted as tests done on the day that they are tested once returned and how many will not be returned?
A 'test kit' is nothing more than a swab which requires laboratory testing, unless the recipient has a polymerase chain reaction device at home. ![]() |
