how comes the number of daily deaths hardly ever fluctuates? it seems to be in the 700-800 range all the time, how can this be explained? are the numbers fixed or what? is covid the smartest virus of all time? also after 4 weeks of lockdown how can the new cases figure be so high each day?

Its all been done from a modelling system

A part of this is test the governments response, hence Bobo looking mortified before running off to an NHS to get sedated for a few weeks.

Hardly worth shutting the country down for if this is the numbers we're being presented with

Governments response, public reaction, its one big test

if the numbers got considerably lower, they'd have riots on their hands & geriatrics kicking zimmer frames all over the show. One must keep ones foot on the peasants throat

The government could come out tomorrow and say thank you for participating in the 2020 virus drill, we passed with flying colours, give yourselves a round of applause

And they would give themselves a round of applause Cry

It's because a curve takes a long time to flatten. You are basically turning a spike into a drawn out plateau. And when you encouraged the spread in the beginning, that means a bigger spike was avoided, which means a more drawn out plateau
