And your point is?
Report Dotchinite April 29, 2020 4:00 PM BST
Only you could use the death of a child to make a point on a forum. You should be totally ashamed of yourself. Disgraceful.
Report 1st time poster April 29, 2020 4:08 PM BST
you've asked for 6 weeks for an example of a young person dying, you wernt happy with the 100,s and 100,s,probably in to the 1000,s now of under 60,s that have died,so you,ve just been giving the proof that anyone of any age no matter how healthy can be killed by the virus, despite telling us for 6 weeks they cant
Report Dotchinite April 29, 2020 4:12 PM BST
Nobody has ever claimed zero deaths in these sections of the public merely that they are highly unlikely to be affected. One case doesnt change that.

The fact you put this thread up in an attempt to score a cheap point of someone who you have never met says so much about you though. You have zero class and should be ashamed of yourself.

He's been on tilt since this thing started, I feel for his poor wife, been locked up with him ranting on for five weeks Laugh
Report 1st time poster April 29, 2020 4:43 PM BST
day one unless your over 70,unfit with underlying conditions you,ll breeze through this no worse than normal flu,45,000 desad bodies we,re currently left unless your an Olympic finalist contender, your a possible victim,
remember the hazey days of spring when the young brave hearts were hitting the pubs ,considering going out of their way to catch the virus and jog on, same ones driving 4 hrs to queue up for 3 hrs in a desolate car park to get tested for piece of mind today

Another mindless rant. You need to get help, you really do.

Think you should ask betfair to take this down.
Report 1st time poster April 29, 2020 8:55 PM BST
why does it remind you everyone no matter of their age is vulnerable,if you,d been taken notice for 8 weeks you,d have known
Report Dotchinite April 29, 2020 9:38 PM BST
It reminds everyone that you are a totally classless moron who will use a tragic death of a child in attempt to prove something on a forum.

Of course I will continually bring it back to the top until you realise it was an awful thing to do.

There is a load of hypocrisy on here ... ftp was over zealous with his emphasis on a young lads death ... yet the righteous indignation from some like dotch is shameful of itself. The same people are prepared to countenance the death of thousands of elderly folk for the greater good of the economy ... and I don't see a thread from them condemning the Gov't for failing to provide adequate safegauards in Care Homes to at least minimise casualties ... some deaths could have been avoided
Get a grip of yourselves ...
Report Dotchinite April 30, 2020 10:27 AM BST
No hypocrisy at all. Just because you dont understand that its not a simple choice between lives and the economy doesnt mean others dont. I believe strongly that ultimately more deaths will be caused by the economic fall out than the virus and theres already reports that support that. Look at the UN suggestion that 130 million could be forced close to starvation for a start.

Its you who wants to get a grip defending this idiot with his thread thats a disgrace. Appalling.
Report ----you-have-to-laugh--- April 30, 2020 11:16 AM BST
there would of been way over 130 million had governments chosen to do nowt

ftp has simply pointed out you were wrong, albeit in pretty strong terms

you dont seem to like it being pointed out
Report twizzle22 April 30, 2020 11:22 AM BST
Why only 130m..why not 700 or 800? ..figures just conjured up out of thin air.Stop trying to justify the OP..he needs no further help in looking a tit.
Report Dotchinite April 30, 2020 12:17 PM BST
yhtl. If you actually read what Ive said in prior threads you would know ive used the official stats that showed low death rates and ive never ever claimed the figure was zero. So no I wasnt wrong.

Lets be fair theres no real point discussing this issue on here as nobody bothers to actually read other peoples points and debate them. You like 1st time hold opposite views to me which is fine but unless people engage on whats actually said not what you have imagined its a waste of time.

Oh  by the way if Governments had done nothing the offical estimates suggested a death toll of 40 million. Again though nobody suggests doing nothing. All ive ever wanted to debate was the length/extent of the lockdown and the other implications.

Clearly you or 1st tim either arent interested or capable of doing that.
Report 1st time poster April 30, 2020 12:47 PM BST
well it looks like you can chill out ,accept the guidelines because doris looks like carrying on lockdown till the end of june, which we krankie basically just confirmed
Report Dotchinite April 30, 2020 12:50 PM BST
I guess we will all make our own decisions on what to do.

I do try to read posts from folk.

It's a tough subject and not much 100% right or wrong.

One swallow and all that might have been a better line than attacking ftp

He's not a bad lad, and has some interesting views at times.

I hope lock down is lifted as soon as possible, hopefully starting around nid may in the UK.

Garden centres and schools are obvious start points for limited access and then we must be right on top of observing and testing around those attending.

Face masks should be promoted, and anybody opening should have supplies of hand-wash for customers and staff and pupils.

I read government are doing random testing of 20k folk to gauge the spread or lack of in general population and that has to be a good step.
Report geordie1956 April 30, 2020 3:35 PM BST
at some point we will need to slowly release the locksown (or restrictions) ... can we do it at the moment? - the Gov't are listening to the scientists who I think are still suggesting extreme caution because of the Rfigure. Some politicians and business want an early start up of the Economy but the possibility of increasing the R number above 1 is right at the forefront of the poential risk. Obviously there is going to be major changes as to how we function for the forseeable future unless we get a vaccine which works.

Other countries in Europe are ahead of us in slowly releasing restrictions so it might be a question of waiting another 10 to 14 days and we will see where they are but face masks / hand wash etc will surely all be steps in the right direction as is the random testing

Perhaps there will be some regional restrictions if we have localised peaks to try and keep things under control ... unfortunately hospitality seems at the back of the queue for any release mechansism so some workers may suffer far longer than others unless the furlough scheme is extended ... but some businesses will inevitably fail because of the lack of opportunity
