Virtually.

Coursera is another source of free learning as is Khan Academy.

for older people they suggest you do the basic maths course,i,d suggest people of a certain age ,stay well away because you,ll come awaymmore confused than when you went on,if theres a hard way to explain 2 plus 2 equals 4 they,ll find it,
I,m 60 and a few years back did one of these maths course during some training, the young lady doing the training was gobsmacked that a 60 yr olds method on long multiplication for example [ milk bottles,borrow one etc ] was about 10 times quicker than hers,and the oldies on the course basically ended up educating her, ive never seen such a long way around the houses to answer a basic question ,it was mind boggling

Can't see much point in doing courses you are proficient on.

Loads of courses on the Open University list that are not in the slightest academic.

Education is free in this country, and like the NHS, it is something the majority, as a result, don't value.

Bring back Hamlyn all-colour paperbacks. I still have the Mathematics, Astronomy and Military Uniforms titles on my shelf, and they're all brilliant. Wide-ranging, welcoming, and treat the reader like an intelligent adult.

Roughly equivalent to post-doctorate level by current educational standards.

If only I did not spend most of my spare time gambling

They sound very interesting, especially if they make subjects more accessible

to those who never went to Uni

Free as well even better

Students who go to Uni now, often nearly bankrupt themselves with Student Loans

but worth it for those who have the brains

But these courses sound just about right for us amateurs
