why is DORIS training 50,000 new nurses and 40 new hospitals,

For the purposes of this exercise :-
'Nurses' = Guards
'Hospitals' = Detention Centres

These will become apparent later in the year when anyone breaching re-enforced Lockdown regulations following a 2nd wave of 'coronavirus' will be lifted and incarcerated indefinitely for "their own good" !

They won't be able to arrest 500,000 freemen on the streets !

Report Reynard April 27, 2020 6:35 PM BST
They'll simply open fire and then go in and arrest the ones that are still moving Sad

This is on the BBC website regards £60k payment: Families to get compensation for NHS and care staff deaths. I think it's good the government are treating NHS staff and care workers as equals otherwise they will be accused of being unnecessarily mean, discriminatory and insensitive.

A death on the frontline fighting Covid-19 is a death regardless.
Report InsiderTrader April 27, 2020 8:11 PM BST
Should it not also apply to those working in supermarkets?
Report impossible123 April 27, 2020 8:28 PM BST
Frontline means in direct contact/treating patients with/suspected of having Covid-19 where social distancing is an impossibility; supermarket is clearly not.
Report 1st time poster April 27, 2020 8:38 PM BST
surely all nhs workers ,working for nhs direct already have a death at work type payment, it,ll be about 10 times yearly wage,thats what it is in steelworks for example

to all and sundry claimants, on the 'Grenfell' tragedy!

A lot has changed. NHS Used to have a Pension or Staff Superannuation Fund. Typically in days or yore they may have got after 40 years of service a lump sum of up to one and a half times  their final wage, a pension of up to half their final salary, a Death in retirement pension for a surviving spouse. If they died before retirement the surviving spouse may have recurved a lump sum Death in Service Benefit if about 4 times annual salary plus a Death in Service Pension of something like 4/9.

Since that days of Privatisation under both Conservative and LABOUR many services were privatised like cleaning, food, transportation etc. Many companies would strip out the pension element amongst other things to reduce costs. Some of the these savings would be pocketed for the shareholders and some would represent savings to the NHS so they were both happy.

I believe this situation needs to change as MRSA swept through the wards and killed THOUSANDS of patients over the years. Many people will not get the pensions they deserve and need from their years of service and we as the tax payer have been short changed because many of these workers will have been switched to part time to boost their income through income support during their working life and retirement.

Save the NHS!
