A DESPERATE mum screamed "help me... it's my children!" after a baby girl and boy, 3, were stabbed to death at an East London home overnight.

Horrified neighbours heard "high-pitched screaming" as the horrific scene unfolded, with a 40-year-old man now in hospital in a critical condition with stab wounds.

These are the first pictures to emerge of a father who is critical in hospital after an 'attempted murder suicide' in which his son, three, and daughter, one, were stabbed to death while their distraught mother ran from the flat screaming 'help me.... it's my children'.

Both fathers and mothers kill their children...it is awful

These people often want to kill themselves

but why take their children with them....there are others will take care of them

This man may have killed his children to punish his wife, their mother

This whole thing sounds terrible, I hope this man does not recover

If this man did not like his wife, why not kill her, the children are innocent

It is an evil world at times

I hope the truth emerges in time.
