Gangs Of London - Sky Atlantic

I watched the first one and while I enjoyed it the fact I didn't bother to put 2 on since probably tells it's own story.

It does just seem a little unrealistic for a genre it probably wouldn't have been hard to make authentic .

I will watch 2 some evening  and see after that.

London’s my manor, so to speak, and I thought I’d enjoy this but it just fell a little flat for me.

Not too bad . Very violent and a bit far fetched . No True Detective (series 1) but watchable .

Any Drill Crew Action ?

Saw the trailer, that was enough for me. Pile of shyte, imo.

Started watching it not sure that joe Cole has the gravitas to carry off the role of the gang boss.(cue lots of W.ham/Chelsea jokes)

Sky (Italy) have done one similar, Gomorrah. All sub-titles.

Can recommend both.

Gomorrah is brilliant and in a different league imvho. If your kind of thing,  is a must watch.

Watched episode 3 of gangs of London and still not itching to watch the rest. From some reviews I've read, episode 5 is supposed to be the bollux, so may get to there and see.

i have watched it all, 6/10.

some of the fight scenes are laughable, chaps taking what would be multiple mortal wounds managing to fight on for some time make it unbelievable. i agree with barrowboy about the head gangster, the actor seems too young and too lightweight to be the boss.

yet i watched it all so i must have enjoyed it.

if you like foreign language stuff and havent seen them the bridge, the killing and borgen are fantastic (not gangster genre). gomorrah tailed off a bit last series for me, with so much death virtually all the original characters are gone. there will be another series and a film, ciro may well reappear.

i have just seen that season 4 of gomorrah is on italian tv now and the film has been released, hopefully not too long for us to wait.

I have four or five things I recommend to people, and my MAG 322 Dreambox is one of them, so I pop up occasionally on this type of thread. 
Why wait for some broadcaster somewhere to be bothered to put out a series you enjoy? Why not binge watch the lot, right now? 12 episodes of Gomorrah, Season 4 have been available on my box for ages. Likewise, each new episode of the recent series of `Homeland` was on it, days before the rest of the world got to watch it on the Sunday evening on tv.
STOP paying Sky/Bt £100+ a month, get yourselves EVERYTHING they offer, plus much much more, for only £15 a month, get yourselves a Dreambox!
As previously posted, I do NOT work for them, zero financial interest, just trying to spread the word

Seen two episodes and can't make my mind up. It is incredibly violent though.

The one the BBC seemed to think was a tragic event , Until it was revealed it was a revenge

Hit for the Killing of some geezers wife and Child  because they missed him .............

The BEEB seemed to miss he Lived in a Million pound house , Calling him a record producer

The problem was his Record company had not sold any ...........

I guess this is just Game Of Thrones modern times.
