If everyone continues the lockdown they will save lives and see a reduction in deaths.
This is not correct.
if everyone continues the lockdown they will see a reduction in the RATE or SPEED of deaths.
IF people get Corona Virus the same percentage will still die,all they are doing is slowing the death RATE /SPEED By avoidance.
Do they forget that there is no cure or vaccine for Coruna virus and until they find a cure or a vaccine people will still die ,but all that is happening is the numbers will die slower.
They are not winning any battle against Corona Virus all they are doing is hiding from it.
So any scientists reading this,get off your backsides and find a cure,that's your job.!forget about curves and peaks and talk about cures and vaccines.

in case i am not explaining myself correctly,what i mean is if a guy catches a virus and he is in lockdown with 9 others in a family ,the family are more that likely to catch the virus,where as the same ten people are going about their daily business and are outside home for most of the day .If one catches the virus there could be a small window of opportunity to avoid the other 9 catching it.but isolating the whole family for 14 days is likely to increase the chances of the other family members catching it.

And while i am am on my high horse why do the government not use the schools of the country as test centers .everyone lives near a school(these buildings are closed/most of them).it would mean that any member of the general public could go to their school test center if they think the have the virus and get tested.remember there are many rooms in a school.
if the test positive shift them to hospital,negative go home.and ramp up testing to a million tests a day.in 66 days everyone in the country will have got tested.  the can fill the schools with beds to stop hospital overcrowding and allow them to deal with serious virus cases only. |

The lockdown was to prevent mass early deaths which overwhelmed the NHS so the reality is we are spreading the time it infects and possibly kills people or at least causes harm which require treatment from doctors
Supposedly - CORONAVIRUS has mutated 30 times with the deadlier strain infecting Europe, scientists have claimed. The WHO have suggested that having had the virus does not mean you have sufficient antibodies ... its a hypothesis but perhaps because IF there are different strains then any antibodies your body produces if you have caught Corona is from another strain so you may catch a different variation which your body succumbs to because you are not protected This suggests its better to avoid getting the virus ... the most reliable way to do that is by lockdown although obviously its not practical long term Better get a bigger boat |
