Why is he still on the box? I thought he's been gone for at least one decade. His professional qualification and humour are certainly not contemporary, but history a long time ago.

Apparently he made £3m in 2018 for presenting and producing his chat show and royalties, and £600k for his Radio Show and Eurovision.
Some presenters at the Beeb are really coining it in big time. A job for life, production and royalties - a triple stroke of luck.

Very natural talent,his radio 2 show on Saturday morning is a real treat.
The usual show is okay, but there's no reason this should be paid for and broadcast being funded by the taxpayer. It's just a glorified advertorial for whatever the guest is plugging at the time.
