are the press that much in their pockets that no one is going to ask why we are flying all these folk in from infected countries yet we have to stay in our huts?

If you bring up "flight radar" you can what plane is going where,there actually aren't many,a lot of freight ones like fedex.

It makes no sense and the question is never answered in a satisfactory manner by the Government.I have written to my MP about this absurd situation but,as yet, have not received a reply.

They said yesterday that they are not concerned at this stage if someone brings it in from an airport because there is so much transmission within the community now that it would only have a negligible effect on the overall. And it was one of the scientists (the dark guy with the shaved head) who said that.
Can't imagine any of these flights are near full now. But still think it's bonkers. And any politician or expert I've seen asked about it in UK or Ireland always comes out with this infuriating answer that the media just accept:- 'we have to get our citizens home and we need airports open for cargo and supply lines'. Nobody is suggesting that you stop any of that, just people coming from abroad for no good or essential reason. |
