I rarely put the TV on baph, even less now. I tried ITV news yesterday and after two minutes of the'presenter' telling us what he thought, I gave up. Time was they just read the news.

I think if the health experts were so knowledgeable would many still have died here, in Europe and America. I'd like to see these experts do a shift on the NHS frontline to understand the dilemma and working conditions the NHS staff are under a little better due to advice these experts have given the government eg late procurement of ppe and necessary equipment; no testing; flights in/out of the UK; etc.

Where they do deserve all that's coming to them is when the likes of Fauci and Birx won't stick their heads above the parapet and call the loon Trump out when he openly encourages the public to rebel against his own faux guidance. What they will say is that they knew what would be coming but felt the need to stay in there (even though it would ultimately do for them) in the public interest and try to influence as best they could rather than letting the likes of Trump with complete free rein....sacrificing themselves, professionally in effect.

An Asian British GP said on tv the advice given by government on Covid-19 ought to be communicated in the language of her "locals" and not in English. I find that astounding. Is there no one in an Asian family speak English or unable to explain the advice to their elders or everything needs to be done by government? How long have they been here?

Maybe Mr Sanjay Gupta's time would be better spent explaining to his fellow folks about social distancing and why praying in mosques at Ramadan is not a good.
