Riots have broken out in Paris amid anger over police 'heavy-handed' treatment of ethnic minorities during the coronavirus lockdown.
Police used tear gas and baton charges in Villeneuve-la-Garenne, northern Paris, in the early hours this morning as fireworks exploded in the street.
Armed police were seen moving through the area as groups of protesters congregated.
It comes after a 30-year-old was critically injured in the neighbourhood in a collision with an unmarked police car.

i think the illegals here will be the first to riot...their jobs will mostly be gone and anyone they are living off will probably be feeling the pinch...
on a different note... a fishing boat witnessed the french navy escorting a boatful of illegals halfway across the channel..then leaving them to fend for themselves for the remaining 10 miles...what is the point of us distancing? if it exiss it is coming from us from every angle still

To answer one part of the underground economy, the police are catching a lot of drug dealers who stand out like a sore thumb on deserted pavements.

I had fun day at the shops the other day, their was a junkie standing in the queue to get in and as soon as he got into the shop he was escorted out by security, the plus side of limiting numbers into the shops.
Mrs works in Boots ,shop lifting a constant Problem , Mainly drug Users , targeting the dearer items , virtually no shop lifting since Lockdown ..
I was in Poundshop (best place for basic essentials like Dove soap, etc, as they always seemed to have stocks) just before lockdown. I saw one bloke emptying every bottle of mouthwash (infront of me) from the shelf into his carrier bag. I told the cashier, and security rushed out from the store room just as he was leaving the store. The bloke dumped everything.
How brazen was that? Clearing out the entire shelf leaving none for customers, and walking out with a carrier bag full. And, this was fairly early when druggies and shoplifters were known to be asleep.

In any civilised society people who behave like that would have their arms chopped off without ado. This country ,even with a conservative government, is far too soft on criminals....2 crimes and immediate execution would bring back some sense to the criminally minded.
