Enjoy your venture in to the great outdoors.
I was out nice and early and was rewarded with the sight of two grey squirrels, a pair of deer, a solitary fox, and more rabbits than I could possibly count. All topped off with a spectacular view from the top of Elrick Hill. |

Wanted to see type of countryside near you.

Spelling spot on, but try Brimmond Hill or Elrick Country Park.
|
|
By:
The view is better from Brimmond Hill but hadn't been up Elrick Hill for some time and was up Brimmond Hill last week.

What are Tyrebagger Sculptures?
|
|
By:
Tyrebagger is a location name, I know of Tyrebagger Hill, but was not aware of there being any sculptures there.
That can be my next walk. |

I've lived abroad for a lot of my working life, returned to Aberdeen just over a year ago and have really enjoyed getting to know the place again.
Got two young kids who are loving being able to go outdoors and see wildlife so close to home. |

Wonderful
STAGE 1 Take the B979 road off the A96 - signed for Tyrebagger Sculpture. This description assumes you use the first of the two car parks signed on the left. Begin the walk along the path which begins beside the information board that has a map of the marked trails; our route primarily follows the yellow trail but with an optional detour to take in the top of Elrick Hill. When the path reaches a clear fork keep left (the right hand branch, which is waymarked, leads down into the second car park and back out again through a gate. If you keep on the left path you soon reach the trail above the gate; follow this to the left. When it forks at a sculpture, take the right branch. |
