There is a weekly report where takes figures from Death certificate so includes care homes. Think were published yesterday.. Was for end of March/ start of April. It was a lot higher than normal for this time of year.

Not sure what happens to people who die in care homes who staff suspect have virus but not confirmed.

There are a lot of care homes compared to number of hospitals so difficult to keep daily totals. There may be people who refuse to go to hospital as will be alone & would rather be with husband/wife.
Basically SS you are correct about daily figures not including everybody.

NHS are saying they can cope , I think they know more than any of us , I would expect the figures to start dropping from next Tuesday on wards
if not sooner ..........

Here are two charts that show daily averages for new cases and hospital deaths.
I have split March and April in to three periods, ten days each, except March period 3 (11 days) and April period 2 (5 days to date).

April P1 had a daily average of 4,799 new cases, P2 is showing 4,944.
Peak not passed yet.

For deaths, April P1 daily average of 717, P2 is showing 782.

And here is the weekly all deaths data released yesterday for England and Wales up to April 3 (week 14).

The shaded area shows the weekly average range for the previous five years.
The red line is 2020.

The week 14 figure of 16,387 is the highest single weekly figure since the ONS began collecting data.
Week 15 and week 16 will likely both be higher.

The media are having to move back to bashing Trump lately

They can make anything look bad with numbers, they haven't tested hardly anyone ffs, so of course they can make the figure look bad

My guess is they wont test even 25% of the country before a vaccine pops up, you can make the flu figures look awful if you want as well

When all your doing is testing old folk on their death bed with pneumonia of course the figure looks mightly bad, but soon as you start ramping up testing look how quickly that mortality rate drops

2m positive cases world wide? its a pish poor number, but even that is telling us a story, the more positives the more recoveries and the death rate goes from 10% to 2% pretty damn quickly.

My guess is we'll see a vaccine or drug that treats it and that'll be that

So they've been telling us for weeks they've been rushing round picking up all the sick but just forgot about the care homes
