Ok, so I have some genuine questions about the media coverage and what the true picture is - where else to go for the real facts other than Chit Chat?

1. When quoting the numbers of deaths, would it not be helpful to also quote what that number is as a %age of the population?  Clearly, 10,000+ deaths in the US sounds like a scary number but how does that compare as a %age with, say, 250 deaths in Ireland?  Similarly, how does the %age death rate in the UK compare with other countries?
2.  Why no real mention of the numbers in relation to population density?
3.  There was massive fanfare about the need for the Nightingale Hospital in Docklands but I haven't seen much coverage of how full it is (or isn't).  Can't help thinking that the media would be camped outside looking gravely at people being carted in if it was being utilised as predicted?

I have a 90 year old mother in a Care Home where they have confirmed cases so well understand the potential damage that the virus can do in that situation but also can't help thinking that media coverage is a little OTT with not enough context.

Anyway, stay well folks and I shall await the facts that no=one else is giving me!

you can use statistics in all sorts of ways to make things look good or bad like this for instance

on the there is a column deaths per million of population

so lets look at these countries

Spain is 386 compared to the UK 178 convert that 386 figure to our population of 67,808,264 you get 25,254 deaths compared to the UK 12,107
Italy 348 = 23,669
France 241 = 16.392
Belgium 359 = 24,418

China 57 = 3877

Ok, so it seems the answer to one of my questions is that there were only 19 people treated in the Docklands Nightingale over the Easter period - see below.  As every other London hospital still had ICU capacity, you wonder why even the 19 were there.  On top of that, it seems that the new North East Nightingale, still to be completed, is unlikely EVER to be needed.  Not seeing too much coverage of this but obviously that doesn't fit the narrative.

i have a question.Question="how can they talk about antibody testing for a virus when South Korea stated only yesterday that 100 people had caught the virus a second time.Any antibody test is not going to tell that the person tested is going to get it again or not.which means Antibody testing will be useless imvho."
In fact it may even help spread it.Anyone agree?
