there maybe some out in the sticks but they can trace mobile phones (the police) either off or on so everyone would have to be savvy enough to get round it which i doubt

I had a píss up with 6 of my mates via zoom on Sat night. Got 8 beers down me, went on for about 5-6 hours. Best craic I've had since the lockdown. Would recommend it.

....I don't want to get hacked.

Found this :

To avoid being ‘Zoom-bombed’, users should avoid sharing the link or meeting ID on social media or other public websites.

This was done by Prime Minister Boris Johnson when he shared a screenshot of his virtual cabinet meeting on Twitter, though fortunately the meeting was password protected.

Along with using a strong meeting password, users should also set screen sharing to “host only” where possible.

Yeah Zoom isn't as secure but it's the most reliable. One of my mates works for logmein and we started with gotomeeting but it crashed so we switched to zoom. Send the link via email is easiest, then they can just click on it and get in.
