Hardly remarkable..they've got over 25,000 ventilators (proper ones) and have been getting loads of stick from other euro countries for not sharing plus the halt on the export of protective equipment. The Germans wouldn't give you the steam of their p!ss, a sad attempt at a publicity stunt. What is not surprising is that The Guardian picks up this non-story and runs it as a lead.

I have a lot of respect for the Germans, but they don't give a donkeys about anyone but themselves. It's nothing malicious it's just in their DNA, it's also the reason why they have been so successful. These mobile ventilators will be a combination of a balloon and a bike pump but they will still have been donated through gritted teeth
