they can move about all they want, it's not coming here if we don't let them in. the open border policy, which is still in place to this day with daily flights arriving from china, spain, italy and new york needs to be reviewed and stopped. if you're coming for business, use the phone. if you're coming for anything else, don't bother - we're shut. if you must come in, you will be taken to a detention centre where your health will be monitored for a period of time before a decision is taken on whether you are fit to be admitted.

The Chinese had over 2 months ie from late Nov when the virus appeared to late Jan (Chinese New Year) to spread and infect the rest of the world gallivanting round the world.
I think the world was very lucky the more lethal Eboula virus was confined to only certain parts of Africa or at its source. Otherwise half the world could have been wiped out with the ferocity the virus presented. |

way too easy here. we want people thinking "i'd normally have gone to Britain 'cos you could just walk straight in there no questions asked, but now they've got all those checks in place and the dreaded fkng detention centres I'd have no chance of getting in given that i'm already feeling like absolute sh!t ... how much is a flight to Denmark ?"

Ebola is not as contagious as covid19, its more deadly but much less contagious. The real reasons of ebola outbreaks are ignorance and lack of education. Ebola kills up to 80% of those that contract it, covid kills probably under 1%. Ebola kills through lack of basic hygiene and little to zero medics, ffs the witchdoctor is still the go to in regions that suffer big outbreaks.Too many people in the media have compared covid19 to ebola, its crazy, and insulting imo. Ebola could never get a foothold in the west, its simply not contagious enough. However perhaps you will get your wish to compare when after decimating Africa covid19 mutates and comes back with the wrath of God and the vengeance of a woman scorned . Then you would see the difference.

Found this :
. https://www.sfchronicle.com/science/article/The-science-of-coronavirus-how-fast-it-15135782.php Q: Can the virus mutate into a more deadly and virulent disease? A: Additional study is needed to determine whether deadlier mutations are possible, but geneticists do not believe this coronavirus is likely to get more transmissible or more deadly. Chiu said most mutations are silent, making slight changes in gene sequences without altering the characteristics of the virus. He said flu viruses mutate at a much faster rate, which is why they return every year, but it is very rare for a particular flu to be much worse than its predecessors. |
