Those with a body mass index (BMI) of more than 40 have been deemed especially vulnerable to the new virus.

A recent study by the Intensive Care National Audit and Research Centre showed that over 70 per cent of Covid-19 patients in intensive care were overweight, obese or clinically obese on the body mass index scale.

Masks are of no use unless you are protecting others so it might be better to get these people to have their jaws wired up for 3 months.

Obvious benefit is the possible weight reduction and therein a lower BMI, allied to an increased chance of survival if they end up in an ICU.

Is this notion too radical?

Some fortunate fat feckers out there having 12 weeks off courtesy of government guidelines.

Stay at home, build up calories, protect your spare tyre and add some chins.

After this is all over there will be a huge recall on those talking scales you can get as they'd want to add "one at a time please" to it's vocabulary!!Grin

Some of the "health foods" I saw piled skyhigh in the trolley eg mega bags of family sized crisps; biscuits; cans of beer/soups/beans/jams); chocolates; ice-cream; frozen convenient food (why they have loads of time to cook). Also, must not forget toilet rolls (what goes in must come out, I guess).

I hope they have a good tin opener otherwise a trip to the dentist could be a long way away.

They should have their mobility scooter insurance raised.

The wear and tear on the pavements ain't gonna pay for itself.

Reports that Belt Buckle Busters are shovelling pies and pasties down their Gregory Pecks as fast as they can muster the strength, to ensure their BMI doesn't drop below the golden ticket number of 40, which in turn could render them non-vulnerable to Covid-19 and thus precipitate a return back to their place of work.

Funny old world whereby you get 12 weeks off for being a gluttonous ****

Maybe someone is rogering your message bringer en route.

Too keen to set out in these dangereux times to fetch you a crate of amber nectar IMO.

Might explain her calorie control?
