Died of natural causes ... age 85
Used to watch the Virginian as a kid ... if I remember correctly Doug Mcclure starred in it as well

Sad news indeed. The Virginian was easily one of the best tv western series ever made and the episodes have stood the test of time well. RIP James.

good series, Lee J Cobb was the boss.
Drury also starred alongside Hayley Mills in Pollyanna
