The idea of dealing with Ebola victims without PPE would be seen as good as suicide but with this virus politicians are expecting staff to work with garbage equipment.

The morally bankrupt language of war is used....describing medical staff as "Frontline Heroes", vacuous clapping on the street and "Slebs" lining up to milk the crisis for their own end

We now have 50 nursing homes in Ireland infected most likely by nurses moving between homes and hospitals
25% of all infections are Medical staff.

Any medical practitioner with kids/family should walk away. It is morally bankrupt to expect them to risk their lives whilst being armed with a spoon.

It is pretty shocking

What is more shocking is the lack of leadership at the top. Good to see the people are now taking the lead. People like Damian Lewis and his wife, Ron Dennis, Neville and Giggs, the small brewers producing sanitizer and a host of others.

Meanwhile the three men charged with leading The Country’s defence against the virus all contracted it through stupidity and the leader is in hospital.

In Ireland, nursing unions, Health & Safety etc... have gone missing. Senior consultants all over twitter whinging about equipment but lauding "Frontline Heroes". Same consultants rinsing the system for years with ridiculous pay demands whilst also doing private practice.

One Senior nurse in Ireland has teamed up with some Z rate teenie bopper band to "Raise money" for "Frontline heroes". When asked where the money was being spent, vague announcements and answers are given.

Everyone is queuing up to portray themselves as "Frontline staff" One Physiotherapist on twitter was pronouncing his expertise and how brave he was.

Its frankly disgusting.

Cheltenham gets blamed with zero evidence of any major effect whilst the vast majority of infections seemed to be caused by poor healthcare practices.

If you add up all the infections involving Hospital workers , Private/public nursing home workers , Private home carers etc... you would border around 75% imho

Its the elephant in the room

I am all for getting people back to work as soon as possible but if health care professionals do not have the correct PPE there is little point.

Apparently 10 transport workers died in London this weekend. That is not an indictment of the shambles of the Government response to this crisis or The Mayors but brings shame on to the Unions who did not do enough to protect their own.

We know we cannot trust our leaders. We need to protect ourselves. Unions should take control of their situation and protect its own and Now

I think the hospital is the worst place to be unless one is a member of the Royal Family or Prime Minister, why? I believe it's the most likely place one could contract Covid-19 or some deadly bug eg Sepsis, etc. And, it could be a lottery as to who'll be treated and who'll not eg health history, age, etc.

Any charlatan taking advantage of Covid-19 for their own benefit eg food retailers, certain 'ebay' sellers, fund raisers, etc, ought to remember KARMA; Covid-19 will come and go...KARMA is permanent!

I wouldn’t like to go to my local hospital before Covid-19

I had an arthroscopy a few years ago and it was done in a private hospital but paid for by the tax payer/ NHS

I think it is scandalous the way medical and transport workers amongst others, have been treated without thoughtful protection and proper PPE. It really makes me angry.

Me?

Oh without doubt the Government and the Authorities, leaders of big Companies

I am not blaming the Tories for running down the NHS, their day of reckoning will come.

The Government is in charge, Dorris is the head of the Government but look as I said before I was in the gym in February thinking I need to wash my hands. There was never sanitizer on the floor before but I did expect it after what was going on in China and had maybe just started in Italy.

The Leaders in this Country not just the Politicians have failed us all.

Again as stated before Damian Lewis and his wife Helen McCrory have arranged 6,000 meals for hospital staff in West London. Ron Dennis is aiming to supply 1 million nutritious meals for hospital staff, Ryan Giggs and Gary Neville have let NHS staff stay at their hotel for free, brewers are making sanitizer, Companies are making ventilators and the Government could not get enough PPE to protect our medical staff.

Who do I blame?

and the three amigos leading our defence against the pandemic all got it, wtf!

70 infections alone in Cavan Hospital in Ireland

I am fully convinced now Hospitals and care homes are causing the spread during lockdown and doing nothing to stop it.

It is disgraceful medical staff are being allowed to continue working without appropriate PPE equipment and proper procedure.
They are doing more harm than good.

Worse than that some have been sent home from duty because they dared to protect themselves with masks bought from Screwfix and paid for with their own money
