and yet some on here would make you believe that it's just a seasonal flu, that kills people who would have died anyway.
very sad - and they'll be many more. and yet some on here would make you believe that it's just a seasonal flu, that kills people who would have died anyway.
Very very sad Read about this earlier. Gigglio lowers tone and makes incoherent irrelevant hateful political rant (as always).
There should be some special compensation for NHS staff who die when it's clearly directly due to their duty, same as the military? I'd be more than happy to see that, similar amounts.

What is really sad is that only 7 people have replied to this thread to offer their sympathy and say RIP to these 2 brave nurses, perhaps we're becoming complacent to the rising death rates. I do find it a shame that posters like giggilo who i respect for his horse racing knowledge and know has health issues himself can't just leave politics out of a rememberence and thank you thread. 1st time poster is the same, every thread has to refer to the PM as Doris and the Health secretary as Handjob Hancock and has similar juvenile names for anyone running the country at this dreadful time, there's a time and place for normal political debate, this isn't it imo.

So very sad (RIP). I agree on this thread it shouldn't be about politcs though i can understand any anger. It is only the start of so much sadness. What's done is done.
Sad also 13 people died in one old peoples home, i would like to see a kind of goverment swat response team with the best of gear to deal as best they can with this, that can be done.
I'm not great health wise and no spring chicken,i know a farm about 2 miles away looking for people next month,i will put my name down, not the money and mightn;t be much use,i'd do it for nothing on principle.

You just can't help yourself can you 1st TP, i presume you're aware that the Labour party trotskyists got firmly rejected by the majority of the voting public in a democracy, do you actually think that Jeremy and Dianne would have responded any better to this crisis, Abbott would still be trying to put her shoes on the correct feet!

The odd thing is that the "traditional" labour voter only matters now, the nhs,bin men, cleaners, delivery drivers etc, the money men bankers, buy to lettors etc are redundant except to what was always their own selfish pursuits.

don't think you,ll find a single word, sentence from me anywhere on this forum suggesting labour/Corbyn would have done any better, why would we need a labour party when weve got tories even before this crisis introducing left leaning policies and the tory,s get the blame if it all goes belly up,leftie utopia, its the tories, right wingers who are all in the wrong party a price their prepared to swallow for Brexit, a Brexit that only the brextremists give a fooook about, these days

I've noticed that no-one now uses the line that "for the vast majority the symptoms will be mild and will pass quickly". Whether that remains true or not, it instilled a false sense of security in the population in th eerly stages. I for one was of the view that the initial stratgy of the quickest route to herd immunity seemed sensible if that were true. Sickening!
