Very impressive guy speaking during his daily media meetings concerning the Coronavirus.
There are suggestions he could end up challenging Trump in the Presidential election.

Can't imagine any politcian talking as well being clear and concise than him and more importantly knows about workers etc, plus sincere unlike all the other imbeciles, amazing how he retains so much information as he was up at 4am this our time, very much doubt he's sleeping.

Governor Andrew Cuomo (D-NY) has gotten wide praise for his handling of the crisis in New York. President Trump, on Monday, sought to take credit for Cuomo’s poll bump, while touting his own numbers in the process.

A new Siena College poll shows Cuomo’s favorability up to 71 percent from 44 percent last month. Various major surveys, meanwhile, put Trump’s favorability at roughly the 50 percent mark. Yet the president classified his own numbers as “great,” while categorizing Cuomo’s as “good.”

“He’s gotten good marks,” Trump said. “I’ve gotten great marks. I’ve gotten great marks also.”

His brother Chris does a show on CNN late at night, he has covid 19 and is self isolating in his basement, he asked his brother is he going for presidential democrat election, resounding no.

A shoe in though in 2024 if Trump wins again.

Turns out he could well be the biggest mass murderer in the usa.

I did wonder about the attraction but it is clear now.

the appeal is that liberals care about optics and the perception was that Cuomo was good because he spoke well and appeared to have a conscience unlike other people. and he fired shots at Trump a lot

he of course isn't good and can't be considered to have done well during this crisis or before it

if you paid attention to my posts when I'm not trolling you would see that this is consistent with my thoughts usually

just because the orange man is bad, doesn't mean that any old ghoul who criticises him is not. the Dems are incredibly bad and are gonna win this election by default and learn nothing and then wonder why someone a bit more savvier and competent whacks them in 2024
Report aaronh May 15, 2020 10:00 PM BST
libs, most of the time, are not a friend of the left

Dems probably to the right of the Tories, even before their incredible leftwards swing in 2019-2020 Wink

so i may as well join in; he is about 3 brain cells ahead of Biden, which makes him as smart as a turkey compared to a goldfish
Report aaronh May 15, 2020 10:03 PM BST

Report Ibrahima Sonko May 15, 2020 10:04 PM BST
ok, fair enough. good that you can spot one when the rest of your crew cannot.

You reckon the dems are going to win ?
Report aaronh May 15, 2020 10:15 PM BST
my views are consistent with most people who define themselves more as leftist. just need to see how these battles play out in Labour and the Dems. It will be the Bernie supporting lefts (If Bernie-favourable voters do move to Trump, it won't be the very online, very left people that everyone complains about) fault if Biden loses and I imagine the same if Keir loses narrowly. The centre expects the left's vote but when it comes to the other way round, they just handwring.

I think they will but if corona hadn't happened Trump would have won. they don't do enough to distinguish themselves from the Republicans on non social issues related domestic policy and people would have likely put up with his behaviour if the economy remained strong.

Calling out Trump's bullshit is all well and good but when your party does little to improve things for many of these people and are bad themselves, why should people not vote for the other liar instead who seems to be promising good things and at least manages to hide his disdain for the working class at times

Sad

think there was some pushback on it but old Bernard isn't perfect, or all that radical really. only radical within his environment where socdems are far left

voting through an imperfect or even bad bill out of desperation is probably what happened here with the plan to try and extract further concessions.

You saw with Brexit that you'll be eternally shamed as an obstructing quisling if you don't just blindly wave through any ol' legislation from the opposition. If you wish to extract any concessions at all.

A very similar narrative was already brewing in the USA when the Dems didn't wave it through immediately.

and Bernie and AOC and whoever can ramble as much as they want, they could've also voted against any such legislation as much as they want, it wouldn't make the slightest difference. Not even Bernie as president would have made the slightest difference to the communism for corporations and regarding universal healthcare. At least not during his potentially 8 years.

8 years of calling out the Reps and Dems might've raised awareness and support so that AOC in 2050 or so could've maybe done something about it.

Cuomo has received blowback for a now-reversed March 25 order on nursing homes, which reads: “No resident [of a nursing home] shall be denied re-admission or admission to the NH [nursing home] solely based on a confirmed or suspected diagnosis of COVID-19. NHs are prohibited from requiring a hospitalized resident who is determined medically stable to be tested for COVID-19 prior to admission or readmission.”

Over 4,800 people have died in New York nursing homes between March 1 and May 1, per New York state officials.

Cuomo faced criticism at a recent briefing for saying that providing masks and gowns to nursing homes is “not our job” because the homes are privately owned.

“It was such an insensitive thing to say,” said state Assemblyman Ron Kim, a Queens Democrat who noted that it wasn’t until just this past week that New York and neighboring states announced a plan to combine forces to buy protective gear and medical supplies for nursing homes.

“If we had focused on that early on,” he said, “we could have saved a lot of lives.”

Cuomo’s administration defended its response to the crisis, saying it has provided more than 10 million pieces of protective equipment to nursing homes and created a database of 95,000 workers who have helped out in hundreds of New York homes.

Also Cuomo wrote into lockdown law that NY could not be sued by care homes Scared
