Gove: "the rise in the number of deaths is ..ermm, uhh...deeply ...errm,, disturbing/ distressing/ moving" He actually had to search for and insert a list of the appropriate words that normal people would use naturally.

Gove as Ed Sec, did more to add the the national mental health bill of teachers and pupils than anyone on the planet. He kicked the Mental Health Czar out because she dared speak out about the appalling exam/assessment system we have in this country, where exams are the be all and end all. One size fits all bowlocks. Clueless twerp.

How long have they been talking about ventilators? Apparently they can't get any because several other countries acted sooner, and ordered them first. I read somewhere that normally about 100,000 ventilators are produced Worldwide every year. Guess how many the USA ordered long before our lot acted!

Of course it's going to rise it's an exponential curve and they said the peak is likely 2 weeks away.
There is no surprise here. There surprise would be if it suddenly stopped rising. The leftie sh1t above is just embarrasing. Also the lancet guy is an egotistical (other) leftie rewriting recent history and to pick fights with the Tories, who apparently was involved in supporting that ridiculous totally discredited "vaccines are bad" nonsense. Read this, then the comments. https://order-order.com/2020/03/27/lancet-editor-slams-government-for-listening-to-his-advice/ |

Richard Horton - wonder if hes changed his mind again.
@elisjohn you probably read that on here. Utter nonsense as is most of the stuff on here about the virus. |

I keep reading this bizarre historical revision by your lefties (who seem about to melt down with hate at the moment) even saying how Boris has the worst response in the world, not even REMOTELY is this the case, indeed many are saying he is OVER reacting. Look at the rest of Europe.
Talk about confirmation bias though, it's textbook. And on the scale of things, just a few examples, "socialist" Sweden has only recently done anything, Trump is going back and forth like his hair in a crosswind, until the other day India was even denying the disease was spreading at all human to human in their country (then went mad), and this is the best: Belarus leader is doing pretty much nothing and say it'll be cured by Vodka and Saunas. |

40 deaths recorded today as extra to those reported in the first 210 deaths as they happened outside hospital testing. Theoretically on the same scale 20 to 25% of deaths aren't getting reported yet. That would vastly inflate today's figure to way over 2,000.

And a 19-year-old, very healthy, young man, among the deaths.

I'm not suggesting that Labour or anybody else would've done any better. But our Govt were slow to react. I hope they get away with it, because I think they are doing the best they can. i just wish they woud stop obfuscating and talking about car makers producing thosands of ventilators as if it is actually happening. I guess, like most people, I'm frustrated and worried by the rise in deaths today. Yesterday I was feeling more optimistic and was ready to give Johnson some credit for not trampling all over people's freedom, while attempting a hugely difficult balancing act. Maybe tomorrow or the next day will bring better news. Let's hope so. I still think Gove is a weirdo, who has no place telling other people what to do.

It's a horrible situation for everyone involved, and getting the messaging correct is nigh on impossible.
I feel a bit sorry for these medical experts being rolled out to deliver messages to the nation on a daily basis. Clearly they are subject matter experts, well used to addressing audiences. Just not on a national basis. And the tough part hasn't even started yet. Unwinding from a lockdown is going to be incredibly difficult. Unfortunately, the UK is following the same painful path of Italy, Spain, and France. It will get much worse before it starts to get better. |

Not horrible for the op Angoose. He appears to be revelling in it, smilies and everythang.

Just sheeple buying the socialist media brainwashing diatribe.
It's pretty clear there are NHS workers using the situation to push an agenda. Typically from London or Birmingham. Has everyone got every bit of kit they need on demand, probably not but there's over a million people to supply, probably closer to two. The daily press conferences are becoming a hindrance as not a lot will change now, but the media wants a new stick to beat the government with. |

rather than hospitals waiting for ppe deliveries that may be wrong gear, wrong amount, why don't they divide it into say 6 warehouses, at least, one say maximum 2 hrs from any trust and let the trusts/hospitals go get their own gear,
think the biggest problem is like said elsewhere some unions [rightly ] demanding the ppe the WHO say you should have, and not what hancock says is adequate |
