Invest massively in your health service before you invest another penny in your military.
Pay nurses a lot more.
Close borders ASAP when a novel infectious disease breaks out, like the Asians and Russians did this time.

Buy Chinese product and die

Try to use countries other than just China to make our cheap goods.

Bring up the problem of animal welfare in China and surrounding countries.

Tell these people to eat what the rest of us do, they can afford it, and it keeps us safer.

The cover up by China, awful management of Western governments in not closing off travel from outbreak areas immediately and prolonged lack of investment in healthcare are much bigger problems/factors than the Chinese wet markets or eating habits.
