....start. combined with the obviously terrible prep (the real fig is prob much higher) and the dysfunctional health care system things don't bode well over there. Wouldn't it be funny if basically the world built a wall around America to keep the infection and Americans in - Mexico has about 500 cases and nearly all of them are linked to the US for instance. Mexico may well start building another wall for good measure!

Bad choice of word, spyker was clearly thinking in terms of irony rather than humour.
And I.T don't bother coming back with your faux outrage, justification etc. I'm not making any political point merely that with the events of the last few years of keeping people out of America it is very likely to be reversed and possibly for some considerable time.
Unless every single citizen is tested how can you know how many are infected? If Mexico has about 500 cases then maybe it's because they've only been able to test a fraction of the number of people who have been tested in the USA.
I think you will find the Chinese have hundreds of thousands dead never mind infected

Yes the figs are almost certainly higher everywhere - doesn't change the fact that the US has many many many more than Mexico and other so called 'dirty' countries and the disparity in wealth should mitigate that - if anything it is making it worse in the US!
You're right Jucel - the only reason i did is because of the wall.
media thick as foook as usual trump right for once the more testing you do the more cases you get and its a number not a % ,not foooooking rocket science to think a country the size of usa will have more cases,they,ll be telling us next they believe the numbers coming out of china,iran and russia

The reason the whole world was not prepared is because they took 3,000 deaths as a % of 1.4 billion and it's 0.0000021429 of the population.
It's just not worth spending fortunes on consumables and PPE based on that death rate
Maybe if they had been honest the world would have panicked and made sure borders were closed and equipment ordered
