Riots because of Covid-19 - a natural phenomenon not-UK specific or induced? I think that's too far-fetched bordering on scaremongering. There's no economic remedy or assistance that will be fair to everyone - some will benefit more, others less.

Think where we were less than a month ago and how fast things have progressed. People becoming poorer, summer temperatures ramping up, people stuck indoors, potentially no end in sight; it could easily end up a perfect storm of factors. The 2005 London riots ultimately kicked off following the initial single 'spark' of a police shooting; there could be many potential 'sparks' in a few weeks or months time... |
