Just been in Aldi, not a bog roll in sight but kitchen roll up to the ceiling.is there some sort of unknown etiquette where wiping your ****on kitchen roll is taboo?

Just back from local Aldi. Plenty 4 pack toilet rolls. Only 1 pack per customer.

Oh no! If anything it's a rich person's little indulgence wiping one's bum with kitchen roll. All the panic-buying scumbags have bagged every loo roll going in Lidl and Aldi - their fav shops. However, if one is ultra lucky one could get them if they were being restocked as with me last time - I managed to bag a 24 roll-pack of Cushelle, only a pack per customer.

There was a short queue at Tesco in Sutton - I think the store was staggering customers entering to adhere to social distancing and only letting in the same number of shoppers as those leaving.

A couple of weeks ago, when the shortages were first evident, my local Tesco Express built a wall out of 16 packs of Andrex,
at the walk through to the tills.

No evident price displayed but, nonetheless, muggins here grabbed a pack, that were in fact £7.00.

Very reasonable I think, all things considering!

No surprise that, the following day they were all gone, with no doubt some buying more than one pack!

One millennial (bloke) laden his trolley with food at a self-checkout where everyone had only a basket. What a selfish plonker.

Perhaps he was procuring supplies for his elderly relatives or neighbours.
Perhaps he was procuring supplies for a care home.

Perhaps.
But perhaps he had just returned from two weeks working offshore and had zero in his house.

We should, of course, always resist the temptation to jump to conclusions.
It is something that invariably leads to poor decision making.

I do not even know how to take a photo on my Huawei mobile, and it's not connected to the net either.

There is no restriction where one chooses to check-out at Lidl - different at the others; restriction is on the number of items per product. No fresh bread or loo rolls but plenty of meat. I think the bakery was shut due to staff shortish perhaps - they always have bread.

No queue though unlike at Tesco where I made a u-turn after spotting the queue.

Press the camera icon
Then press the big white shutter button at the bottom of the screen where the picture is displayed
It will be saved on the phone and can later be transferred to your computer
