government finally give nhs staff free parking

they just need to reward the actual health care assistants    ...low pay ,hideous workload  and most likely to pick up any infections  as they have the closest contact ,then and now .

they need to look after their staff esp at this time  ffs   ...paying to park is evil   .. they make sure the directors are well lined though i bet .


i don't understand the logic of it all

50% staff shortages in some hospitals due to staff being off.

better wages would be great, but any easing of the burden is welcome

I know in some essential"sectors" there are getting extra on top for doing their hours and a bit more,after seeing them i was quite impressed and while i generally criticise the goverment,fair play in this instance and hopefully will be rolled out to all that are trying to serve the public.

The "no-shows" are huge,hard to generalise everyone but some almost certainly should be doing the job they are paid for.

Engie get all the car park money at our hospital, it ends up in France. They charge our Health authority over 8 quid a day for staff places, this is passed on to staff or it comes out of the local health budget. Labour sold us out and the staff and public are paying the price, we needed public pressure then, where was it? I expect quite a few hospitals are in a similar position.

this country is awash  with money   ....  throw some at the health workers at this time  ...give them a heroes pay   
...cheap to heap praise on people   when   rewards would make a bigger real difference to their lives     ... they're struggling  on their wages ,most of them  ...throw less money at the rest of the workers who don't need it as much .

they've got it all arse about face    ...we shouldn't be hearing how other people are better off  by not working at this time

But what they should do
Everythink gets frozen for lock down ie bills
No water electricity gas phone bills
No rent or mortgage
Issue every house hold with beer tokens
Depending how large the family is
No need for cash hand outs
Only spending at this time is for food
They should make it around that
But they won’t
I will be checking out what hand outs I will get tonight at 5pm
