Yes, telling the truth could indeed prove harmful to the government.

Remember folks, the public consultation to stop us being forced to fund these overpayed arrogant leftist remoaner "see you next tuesday"'s, ends soon. I'm surprised they bothered to show the Boris announcement the other day, the petulant sh1ts deliberately didn't show his announcement on Brexit day.
|
|
By:
You're deliberately missing the point and ignoring the question.
Why make it the lead story? |
|
By:
channel four journo was the same on PM daily report - on all out attack
I wonder what any of these people are doing to help the country - mainly spreading doom and gloom and panic from their studios with no recourse to their actions |

That was to Angoose.

C4 news are worse than the BBC, the BBC try to hide it, C4 news has declared all out war on the Tories for years now.
|
|
By:
surely this was be pointless 5 years away from a General Election? I'd have thought highlighting a lack of medical equipment would be a good thing ?
|
|
By:
Running order is a matter for the editor. whilst C4 News is by far the most independent voice of all the regular TV news outlets.
Holding the government to account doesn't cease to be the responsibility of the opposition and the media just because there is an ongoing crisis. |
|
By:
Whilst 400k offer voluntary help to the NHS, the media continue their negativity.
Boy do they love bad news ![]() |

Dr C, and JC, I not sure you can win with these Aholes but many thanks for highlighting it.
DC posted on another thread foryou.... Dr C, I'm sure you remember this. Yes Prime Minister-the Newspapers you can skip to 55 sec in.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DGscoaUWW2M |

By:
They can't help themselves, it's their instinct to report the news in the worst possible way for the government.
There was no need to make it their lead story and present it as a bombshell. |
|
By:
angoose is one of the new left progressives they hate anything of a common sense approach
and hate the country they were born in that is if they are english (i think he is) but most of the detractors are from outside the uk particularly one clutch across the water and they denigrate this great country with such a venom you wonder what on earth we ever did to them |

You have to hold your head in your hands at those saying, I've read this more than once, that "the shortage of coronavirus testing kits is due to years of Tory austerity and underfunding of the NHS". So with more money the NHS would have a (large I presume) stockpile in advance of testing kits created in advance for a virus that didn't actually exist?
Would they have huge stockpiles of such testing kits for EVERY virus that doesn't exist and might randomly mutate at somepoint? Cost a few bob, as would the requisite NHS time machine. Maybe not as much as the 20/20 hindsight machine that many apparently now have mind you :) |

Not to mention the snooty vendetta against construction workers apparently travelling on the tube, Sky news been at it all day. Construction workers who to happen predominantly to be white men. Hmmmmm, is there an agenda there? The packed trains I've seen the pictures of don't appear to be filled with construction workers. No mention of the real reason, Khan reducing service at peak times.
|
|
By:
No surprise here.
|
|
By:
I don't know how these chump reporters get designated key workers anyhow, standing outside a tube station near to a hospital hoping to catch three people walking near each other. So useful.

Dr Crippen casting a far too wide net, anyone who doesn't share his world view is a leftie probably 95% of the human race.

English news reporting on English crisis from the top, how very peculiar.......
Should they begin with the death total in Italy or Spain... |
|
By:
The Daily Mail really annoyed me as it had pictures of people last week at a time when it was bad, queueing outside a supermarket before it opened and labelling them panic buyers and stockpilers. They have no proof of that at all, it could have been people who haven't eaten for a day as had no food left for their family, NHS workers who tried to shop the previous night and got nothing etc. There are many reasons why people might queue for a supermarket to open during a time when things are hard to get, and suggesting they must have bad motivations is pretty damned evil.

I’ve posted this before but worth a look again. The NHS is massive. Look how the workload has increased.
The NHS deals with over 1 million patients every 36 hours.36 In 2015/16 there were 40 per cent more operations ('procedures and interventions' as defined by Hospital Episode Statistics, excluding diagnostic testing) completed by the NHS compared to 2005/06, with an increase from 7.215m to 10.119m.37 There were 16.252m total hospital admissions in 2015/16, 28 per cent more than a decade earlier (12.679m).38 https://www.nhsconfed.org/resources/key-statistics-on-the-nhs |

By:
The conspiracy theorists on here must think that the Government are not accountable for their actions ... you need the media to question them ... more so when the opposition can't or wont .. thats how democracy works
|

What did the BBC lead story tell us about the world health crisis that was new, peckerdunne?
There's a global pandemic and resources are stretched in a free at source health system. Game changer! |
|
By:
The BBC's job is to report facts actually, not play the part of an opposition.
|
|
By:
I can't see what could be more important than ramming home the lack of PPE in current climate..
|
|
By:
Resources are stretched all around the world, also wouldnt it be up to hospital managers to keep the correct amount of stock ?
|
|
By:
And I'd argue that media in general has a duty of care during a crisis, not be in attack mode determined to find fault in anything they can. Reporting isolated incidents as if it's the norm.

but sad think they should be excused because of a crisis they have helped to worsen |
