When the couple heard chloroquine, they probably thought we got some of that, our fish tank cleaner!

One would suspect the medication dose of chloroquine is significantly less that stuff used to clear ingrained grime on fish tanks

The stupidity of Americans has no limits, i really fear they will lift the ban on movement and be back at work next week, after all if the don says its ok must be ok.

Has anyone asked the members of the US Flat Earth Society if launching yourself a few hundred feet into the air in your DIY rocket to have a look around might cure it? Probably stops you coughing I should think. Amongst other things.

the toxic chemical mentioned in the story is in fact exactly one and the same as the anti malaria drug, it kills parasites  in fishtanks, it kills Filoviridae in humans ,either the guy took too much, maybe got his micro grams and his miligrams all wrong or was used to dosing tanks and completely fckd up or he was very allergic, his wife was also ill but nothing like as bad, apparently the side effects are pretty bad, nearly as bad as maleria, but let's face it this story is all about a horrible little nasty disease (chronic leftitis) the dead American is of no interest. Rip, will try and find the true story as chloroquine phosphate is supposed to be a feasible drug in the war against sars-cov2.

Regulated tablet form as apposed to? Sure a read a few weeks back somewhere  the packets the fish guys use were one and the same as anti  maleria packets.

Title should read "US woman poisons husband, blames gov"... The story I found says she put one teaspoonful of it in a glass of juice, they each supposedly had a glass each (teaspoonful each). They did not have any symptoms or any health probs and did not have sars-cov2.                     They had Internet and she was aware that chloroquine phosphate was being used for sars-cov2.      The chemical she had was not any different from the one used for malaria treatment other than possible strength.The dosage for maleria is an initial 1g of what appears but don't quote me to be 600mg strength base.Wondering if china has used this drug extensively in wuhan as they have appeared to completey remove the virus IN very quick fashion.Upon researching this drug I find the UK has banned all exports of it from early march, think its not without risks and even looking at side effects when used for maleria prevention it quite a powerful substance not without risks under small weekly dosage, although the recommended initial dosage like many things is higher. Reckon if things get bad this will be used elsewhere, China prob used it in the "pill" it was giving to sars-cov2 victims,or put it in water supplies, doubt they would care about collateral damage.                                                                         The name of the victim in the story and his wife have not been released and I do find the story rather odd, no one would be that thick, and normally US prosecuters don't need a second invitation, surprised she has not been charged with murder. Meanwhile the demand for chloroquine goes through the roof, its approved for  maleria prevention and a form of arthritis and usa gov wanted to make it available for sars-cov2 patients under compassionate prescribing law, which would allow it to be rushed through and miss out on strict clinical testing for covid19.          The story needs further scrutiny as I smell big pharma stinky poo.
