Very simple game
You have to predict something happening in the next 24 hours and it has to relate to the Corona Virus
This happening has to be publicised and proven in the media after the event....

You also have to give the odds of that happening
E.G. Theresa May will live broadcast from her private Carribean Island  10/1
Maximum odds are 10/1

If the event happens ...If challenged you have to be able to prove you were right
In the event of a spat ...stewards enquiry may be enforced
Stake is one unit on each prediction.... and you have to put up and keep your own balance on here.
Aftertimers, if proven, are disqualified automatically

If you win post your prediction winnings on that one prediction and take the chit chat forum kudos
If it doesn't happen .... you lose one unit times the odds you put up.... and take your forum beating
Put up your balance as you go along.

So my opening gambit .....
I reckon Boris will bring the army in to patrol the streets of London (in the next 24 hours)  10/1

If it happens +10
If it doesn't happen -10

Surely the predictions require to be for something to happen and not for something not to happen.

If not, I'll predict that Martians WILL NOT land with a COVID-19 vaccine. 10/1

If it happens -10
If it doesn't happen +10

Ok.

I hope that I am wrong, but I reckon that the UK daily reported death toll will exceed 100 for the first time today. 2/1
Daily figures already in for Wales (5) and Scotland (6).

If it happens +2
If it doesn't happen -2

I won't call this a prediction, almost a foregone conclusion that we'll hit half-a-million cases worldwide by close of play tomorrow

I'd say that it is lower than evens.
422k cases at close of play yesterday, 41k and 44k for each of the last two days

I reckon that the Governer of New York will state on record that he believes that Trump is prepared to sacrifice elderly American lives to aid the economic recovery.

It's a 1.01 shot that he's itching to say it but probably 20's he states it unequivocally and about a 5/2 shot he implies it.

I'll have my 10 on him implying it at 5/2 if I may.

I am down 2 points, the UK death toll thankfully coming in at less than 100, 43 yesterday, having been 87 the day before.

For today, I will predict that Rishi Sunak will announce a package for the self-employed that is less generous than the package announced for employees who are furloughed by their employers.

Furloughed employees are to receive 80% of their salary with a cap of £2,500.

I'll stake 4 points on this one.
