France is on Day 8 since reaching 100 deaths.
The UK is on Day 5 since reaching 100 deaths.

I really wish you could have charted 'seasonal flu' deaths in this format two years ago when over 20,000 people died as a result of seasonal flu in the UK alone . May give us some sort of context rather than this sensationalist stuff .

Maybe you can provide us with a chart for UK suicides within this time-frame (jan 1st to present) in order to provide some context rather than focus on just COVID-19 .

COVID-19 is just a flu strain , after all Plain

So, no one died this winter prior to the onset of COVID-19, is that what you are trying to argue.

Probably , yes , but they died as a result of seasonal flu , so nowt to see here approach as per . It wouldn't surprise me in the slightest if a % of these COVID-19 'victims' were actally as a result of yer common-old-garden seasonal flu .

Inidentally , Angoose , you are one of the very few chit chat contributors whom I respect which is the main reason I choose to converse with you . I may not agree with you but I still view your posts with open-minded interest . However on this occasion I feel the need to dispute your argument .
Please don't , as others often seem to , take it as a personal insult . Rather see it as an intellectual debate between two free-thinking individuals . If at the end of the day you are proved to be correct (and you may indeed be proven thus) I will be the first to stand up and acknowledge the fact .

That is , of course , based on the assumption that I survive this plague . At 57 yrs old that may not necessarily be the case Scared

Probably more this year with the stairs and landing cluttered up with toilet rolls

Surely the toilet rolls would provide a soft landing!

Before we get on to it, I for one am never going to get knocked down by a bus, so the stats on that won't apply to me.

Another milestone reached today, France went above 1,000 death.

    Country Population        60.5M        46.7M        65.3M        67.9M        83.8M
Days Between Deaths        Italy        Spain        France        UK        Germany
    From 1 to 10        5        4        15        7        6
    From 10 to 100        8        6        8        6        8
    From 100 to 1,000        8        7        9
    From 1,000 to 2,000        4        3
    From 2,000 to 4,000        4
    Current        6,820        2,800        1,100        422        156

Italy looking like it will be two more days before they reach the 8,000 mark, that will be 6 days after breaking 4,000.
UK is 6 days on from hitting the 100 mark.
Germany hit 100 just yesterday.

Spain is in a really bad way, they hit another milestone today, passing 4,000 deaths.
As you can see, they are hitting these milestones faster than Italy from a population that is 23% lower.
