Went to my local Indian restaurant last night at 8.00 and ordered a Lamb Madras to take for 9.30 . Then had 4 pints of Kingfisher while I waited .
Ok , so it cost me more than 4 pints of Fosters in the Four Crowns but at least I got to have a drink Cool

They still can't be sure whether you've got Corona or another bug, the test they're using is only 70% accurate.

It's ludicrous to shut everything down for the questionable effect it might have.

Mate of mine rang earlier from a pub beer garden. The beer garden is accessible from the road and car park.

He's sitting there in the sun having a bottle of beer at one of the tables....nobody else there. Happy

must confess i can't see the fuss with people out in the open  sitting out on the sea wall ...they would be close together at home  or worse still bundling up in groups .

people so confused  ....been told to lock up the oldies on mothers day  - box ticked - now they want to make the msot  of things ... people out in the sunshine  before lockdown  ...might not be allowed out esp if they live in flats  ... told to stay in  when its 24c in summer  ...that won't be much fun for them either ....

not sure why harry ramsden is open though ..thats worse than a pub being open ffs Crazy

what a fooken crazy country  LaughLaughLaughLaugh

North of Scotland (west coast)  roads getting blocked with camper vans. Locals getting really angry, as these coonts will have freezers full off food back home in Glasgow, Edinburgh, London. Driving to the highlands and causing food shortages in village shops.  Best to head home now. You will not receive a warm welcome during this emergency situation.

So they closed all the pubs & restaurants ,walked past a takeaway last night there were about a dozen people inside waiting for food in a space maybe 2 x 4mtrs.

Takeaways are fine according to Boris.

I think takeaways would be fine if they introduced spaced queuing and only one person allowed in at a time. Wouldn't take much more time to get your food.

Same with supermarkets why not allow 100 in at a time max over 24 hours most countys would be covered..say 30 mins shop..

So as not to aftertime, I was sceptical at first and having a laugh about it.  I'm not anymore.  This is real, imo.  VERY real.

What constitutes a "takeaway"? Local council has many kiosks along our seafront/gardens most have small permanent seating areas, and not a table to be had, all occupied by people happily licking their ice cream, slurping their coffee or getting stuck into their hotdogs.

Beer freely available along the front as well, most of the restaurants have decking area on the promenade and have wasted no time in opening alcohol kiosks, buy your booze and carry a few yards to the seating area, don't know what the difference between that and a pub garden is.

That’s a good question polis, the way some establishments have morphed already & no doubt some pubs will be opening behind closed doors it’s going to be a very difficult thing to police.
