Only report I've read on that was the initial report by the Chinese of the first 41 patients, and very few (somewhere around 10% from memory) were smokers. Don't know how that equates anyway as you'd need to know how many people in China smoked.

Smoking aggravates the T cell in the immune system, the t cell is the number cell of defense the human body has, cigarette smoke is full of toxins that are poisonous (including rat poison and shoe polish).the problem is that toxic poison in cigarette  smoke that will kill you slowly can kill a lot of  viruses quickly,so don't close the door on the number one killer of people(smoking) just yet,the jury is still out,and the t cell can beat smoke in the final game (that is known)so it all to play for at the moment as tests continue if you believe that the tabacco plant may be a friend in the search for a cure.

they now know for certain that the t cell can kill cancer ,but to increase T cells in the body costs over £100,000 per patient ,but t cells multiply when aggravated by smoke.
now "has anyone ever heard the old saying ,the cure is in the cause"the jury is still out on this one also."
