That `30 for 30` series also has `The 16th Man`, telling the story of the 1995 Rugby World Cup, awarded to the country as a `welcome back to the sporting world` reward for dismantling apartheid and holding the country`s first properly democratic elections. Far more important than the self-centered little stories that form most of the `30 for 30` series, this one really did change the world. Hollywood later retold the story, with Morgan Freeman and Matt Damon starring in `Invictus`, a beautifully uplifting movie. And, what`s unusual for Hollywood, the best bits of the movie actually happened in real life, as evidenced in `The 16th Man`.
There`s a set of six documentaries called `This is Football`, with the Rwandan one, `Redemption` being a particularly lovely little watch |
